Silkworm pupae oil is extracted from the larva of the bombyx mori moth. It is a yellow transparent liquid oil rich in alpha linolenic acid (ALA). The body changes the alpha linolenic acid into the longer chain fatty acids EPA and DHA, and prostacyclin. Silkworm pupae oil shows it has an important role in lowering blood sugar, inhibiting thrombus and regulating blood fat with no liver lipid storage disease. Additionally it’s helpful to regulate inflammatory mediators and interleukins to protect liver.
