| Graeme Lee Rose (Founder) Originally from the UK, I have called Thailand home for over 20 years. What began as a family visit soon became a lifelong journey, inspired by the rich culture, stunning scenery, and genuine warmth of the people. Here, I met my wife, and together we are now raising our two daughters in the peaceful countryside of northeast Thailand. I started Thailand Unique to share the special things I discovered on my travels. One day, while visiting the small town of Nong Khai on the Lao border, I stumbled upon a small shop selling tins of fried insects. Instantly captivated, I was eager to learn more about this unique food source. My fascination with edible insects grew as I realised their potential—not only as a novel food, but also as a sustainable and nutritious alternative to conventional protein. I wanted to introduce these remarkable foods to a wider audience, especially as more people worldwide sought eco-friendly options. I offered them on our website, and they quickly became popular. My wife and I soon began creating our own versions, experimenting with flavours and preparations, and they sold like hotcakes. The rest is history. |

Each dish is both a challenge and an adventure, blending authentic regional flavours with insects and other unique foods.
