Chinese Red Headed Centipedes are native to East Asia and parts of Australia. These creatures thrive in moist environments and can grow up to 8 inches long. Remarkably, their venom has been reported to surpass morphine in pain control and has been a staple in Chinese medicine for centuries.

Red Headed Centipedes are often available for sale at Chinese night markets, where they are typically skewered on sticks and deep-fried. While their natural flavour is slightly bland and bitter, they become more palatable when grilled with a touch of salt or soy sauce.

Each pack contains two centipedes, each measuring 0.5 cm by 15 cm. To prevent breakage, every centipede is attached to a non-edible bamboo stick.
