Squash Bugs (Coreidae) are a healthy and a valuable source of protein. They are crunchy and taste slightly sweet. These bugs have a unique smell and taste.
Our Squash Bugs are sourced from various insect collectors in Thailand. We buy them fresh at source; they are cleaned, boiled and then dehydrated to lock in nutrients. When fully dehydrated we season them with salt and pack them in cans with moisture and oxygen absorbers. This keeps them fresh for over a year.
Each can contain 15 grams of dried Squash Bugs. Each weighs approximately 0.4 grams after dehydration.

Cooking instructions: Our Squash Bugs are cooked and ready to eat, you can eat the whole bug straight from the bag, or you can add them to other foods, for example pizza toppings, or salads. There are many possibilities.
